The three phases OF A Jobs to be Done Sprint

Prepare

Before starting the sprint we work with you to assemble a team and recruit customers to interview.

Your sprint team should be a cross-functional group of 5-7 people with executive, product, marketing, sales or research responsibilities.

We will also work with you to screen and recruit 20 customers who have signed up or churned within the last 60 days.

Interview

Your customers will surprise you.

Each day for four days, the sprint team will conduct 5 customer interviews.

After each interview, we will work together to build a customer profile describing their struggle and decision making process, how they found you and what habits and anxieties they overcame to switch to (or from) your product.

At the end of each day, we will debrief the interviews to help remember them during the analysis phase.

During the final day of the sprint, we will identify the jobs your customers are hiring you to help get done. We will find patterns to explain the situations that cause people to hire your and fire your product. We will discuss how you can help them make better progress through marketing or product improvements.

Once the Sprint is complete, we will be available to help your team as they work through marketing changes, feature development, and making big decisions about "what comes next" for your product.
